Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, a Canadian-American singer and songwriter. She has produced many studio records. DiFranco's music is classified as folk, alternative and rock but she also draws influences of hip-hop and jazz. The widely regarded feminist icon Grammy recipient Ani DiFranco is considered to be the father of the DIY movement and is among the first musicians to launch her own record label in the year 1990. DiFranco was born on the 23rd of September 1970, in Buffalo New York. Her parents were Elizabeth (Ross), from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Dante Americo DiFranco. Her father is of Italian origin, while her mother hails from Montreal. Ani's song, 32 Flavors was composed by her and is performed by Ani. The song can be found on the sixth album Not a Pretty Girl by Ani diFranco. It was which was released in the year 1996. The song was featured in the soundtrack to the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate, released in 1999.
