Selena Gomez's international fame as an actress and singing sensation is undeniable. The Disney film Wizards of Waverly Place, one of the biggest projects she was a part of and which has had the highest success, is her project. Selena Marie Gomez has a full name. She was born July 22, the 22nd of July, 1992 at Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett and Ricardo Gomez were her parents. Her mother was barely 16 at the time Selena became a mother. At the age of nine, she got her very first gig in showbiz when she was cast as Gianna in Barney and her Friends. She was among many children to have played with Barney, the famous Pink Dinosaur, an anthropomorphic dinosaur. Selena performed on a variety of episodes of season 7 and 8 from 2001 until 2003. Selena Gomez was not the only performer to be featured in Barney and His Friends from 2001 to 2003. Demi Lorvato joined the team also. Selena Gomez tried out for many roles after leaving Barney and his Friends, but was not successful. Selena Gomez got a role in the role of Julie as Julie in Walker Texas Ranger Trial by Fire and starred on Mini Spies 3 in 2003. The role as Emily Grace Garcia was assigned to her in 2006's Brain Zapped, for which she also wrote a music.
